I have been steadily receiving quilt squares for a couple of months, and I sooooo appreciate all the people who have taken the time to participate! I have enjoyed reading wishes from strangers, friends, and family.
Amelia has received wishes and fabric from all over the U.S., as well as France, British Columbia, Australia, Sweden, England, and Canada.
My mom wrote Amelia a lovely poem about how much we all anticipate her arrival, and how the wait for her, though difficult, will be so worth it when we have her in our arms. I couldn't agree more.
A friend here in Georgia, made a fabric square from the satin edges of HER blankie when she was little, and her wish talked of hoping little Amelia feels as safe and secure as that blanket made my friend feel.
Another friend from Alabama sent fabric pieces from favorite shirts of her children, with a letter addressed to Amelia, telling her about our friendship which began at 5 years old, and what a blessing Amelia will be in all our lives.
very special wishes, for a very special girl.
