And in other news, we've had a very nice Chinese New Year. We spent CNY eve with friends at what can only be described as part Chinese New Year/part baby shower/part Louisiana Shrimp Boil! And we had FUN. And despite a late night Saturday night, we actually finished painting most of our master bedroom today, and watched discovery channel specials on the history of The Great Wall and the first emperor of China (the one that is responsible for the terra cotta warriors)

Since becoming DTC, matter of fact, we have overhauled our whole house, repainting every room and putting down new flooring in the kitchen, foyer, and master bath. One more bath and we'll be moving to outside projects just in time for spring! Which I am soooo ready for. (bad grammar on that last sentence, I know)

Only 5.5 weeks left until our Punta Cana vacation, and Daphne and I are tanning 3 days per week---me getting a base tan for the vacation and she for her trip to CHINA to bring home the fabulous Emily.

Last, but not least........My mom rented out her house in Birmingham today. I'm very excited about that, since it means that she will be moving here to Atlanta! Woo! She's coming in this week to look at apartments, and we have exactly 25 days to get her packed and moved. Should be a busy month. I'll really enjoy having my mom closer, and it will be so great for Amelia to have a grandma near by. It will also be easier for me as a new mom, because my mom needs help with things sometimes, transportation to the doc for treatments, etc, and it would have been a real challenge to make frequent trips out of state with a baby in tow. I think its a great thing for us all.
