January Waiting Family Dinner

We actually had a whole room full of people for this dinner, but the "room view" picture didn't take. So here are "the girls" at my table.

We are just home from our monthly Waiting Family Dinner --this month at Classic Gourmet in Marietta, We both had a fabulous time. We feel very blessed to have met such a wonderful group of people right at the beginning of our process. In our group, we have one child home from China, (Charleigh--in next 2 pics) and 2 referrals who are waiting to travel. It makes the wait for referral so much easier, spending time with people ahead of you in the process, sharing their joy, and hanging out with people who "get it"---who GET why you are adopting----who GET why you are adopting from China---who GET what it feels like to wait your turn in a fairly unpredictable process. We appreciate and enjoy the camaraderie of these people more than they know.
