So the big question on everyone's mind about now is whether or not we will get a new batch of referrals before Chinese New Year.
As previously reported, CCAI (my agency) has updated their site to say that the CCAA is working on the next set of matches, but that they are unsure whether or not this will cover the last week in April only, or some of May.
Well, today on APC, the word is that the Spanish and French boards are reporting referrals through May 12th, due to arrive next week.
I think the U.S. is usually about a week behind them?
There is a lot of disappointment being expressed on the DTC group boards today, and even though I too wish they would go back to processing full months at a time.............I just dont think its gonna happen any time soon. So it kind of baffles me (no offense ya'll) when people seem so acutely crushed to see 2 weeks come in---ACTUALLY ---when I think about it though, this is nearly 3 weeks! (April 25th thru May 12th) so its a little better, anyway.
I guess I've just resigned myself to it. I have to confess........I dont really believe there's anything mystical about my baby not being ready for me yet---although I know that some people do believe that and are comforted by it. For me, I think its just chance. Just dumb luck that we ended up submitting our dossier right when the slow down began.
I've had some really lucky things happen in life....And the timing on this one happens to be unlucky.
I've definitely been in a little bit of a funk about the trickle of referrals, but there are lots of people out there who waited 13, 14, 15 months on referral in the past, and they are no worse for the wear today.
so lets keep our fingers crossed (and pray and chant and whatever you do) that the rumors are correct and this batch does indeed go AT LEAST into mid may.

I am excited to see another batch, but it really is only 8 working days of LID as the CCAA was closed the first week in May last year. I am a little bummed, but I waited 13 1/2 months last time, I can do it again.
