Yeah! just had our Social Worker out to do a homestudy update (approving us for a waiting child) We have a great Social Worker, and had a really nice visit.
We also got an e-mail from Brian Stuy at www.research-china.org who has located Amelia's finding ad. We can purchase a color copy of her translated finding ad with picture for $40 or buy the ACTUAL page from the newspaper AND the copy of her ad (enlarged) for $75.
It hurts my heart to think of her left in a box and advertised in the paper, and I think its tempting for alot of people to create a nice story, glossing over the unpleasant parts and/or the unknowns. But for me, I think I have to be honest with her, good or bad. Now of course, we'll do that with all the love, compassion and tact that we have. But I'm not going to be dishonest with her. We'll tell her what we know, and what we dont know, and I think this ad is an important piece of the puzzle. Its the only tangible clue she'll have about her first days on this earth. Its part of her story, and as her parents, we owe it to her to provide as much truth as we can.

Buy the whole paper, we just got ours from Brian and would have been disapointed if we hadn't gotten the whole paper. It's an amazing treasure to save!
