The Clock is Tickin

The clock is ticking.........and we are sooooo ready to go.
The order of business for today was.....
  • Contacted Regions bank (for the third time) about needing crisp, clean, newish bills for our trip. They are getting on my very last nerve at that bank. The manager doesnt really want to bother with it, and keeps telling me they cant guarantee the bills will be like new by the time they arrive at the branch, even though they order new ones. (Her implication being..........why bother to order new ones, we cant guarantee thats what we'll get)

I keep telling her I understand this, but order new ones anyway, and we'll pick the cream of the crop! I resorted to taking Amelia's picture with me today to show this woman why those bills are so important! supposedly they've been ordered, but I can tell I'm on her last nerve too. This woman has obviously never adopted a child, been close to someone who adopted a child, or has had dealings with a woman whose daughter is sitting in an orphanage in China waiting on her mommy!!!!!!!!

  • I made Amelia's 9 month physical appt for about a week and a half after we get back. I waited that long because CCAI recommends that you give yourself and the baby enough time to recover from jet lag and begin to adjust to some of the changes, before her first visit to the pediatrician.
  • I washed all of Amelia's clothes( or at least the 6-12 month sizes) and blankets in Dreft. I know, our moms probably used 20 mule team borax, and we turned out fine, but still..... dont want to irritate her little skin. I also ironed her clothes for the trip and put in the suitcase:) that was too much fun! never thought I would say that about ironing..........
  • Scheduled on-line bill payment for things that need to go out while we're gone.

5 days and counting
