We're Here!!!!!!!!

Hi all! so sorry to take so long to post! I know, I know.............I said I would post first thing and let you know we arrived safely. so first of all, we are safe and sound, and having a wonderful time!

Our flight into Hong Kong was 4.5 hours late due to horrible weather and heavy rain. we had to divert to Beijing to refuel as a result. Then when we made it to our hotel, the internet was down due to weather issues. this morning of course, we rolled out of bed and out the door, so this is the first moment I've had to sit down at the computer. The weather cleared up mid-morning, so we've been out and about most of the day, other than a nap mid afternoon.

I've got some good pics of our exploits today and I'll post those later. Its only 9:22 here, but we are worn out! We fly to Guangzhou at 1:00 tomorrow and then just one more day until we see our sweet baby for the first time. the closer it gets, the more impatient we are. I thought I would wish we had several more days here in Hong Kong, but even though this is a way cool city, we just want our baby already! :)

Oh, let me tell you this! we dont know if this was just blind luck or if someone out there requested this on our behalf, but when we arrived in Chicago, the United desk called us up to the podium. I said Uh-oh, this cant be good. Well! it was a wonderful surprise, because the woman said "We have a gift for you" and handed me new boarding passes for BUSINESS CLASS! WOOHOO! fully reclining seats, wine and champagne and good food, individual tv screens with 6 or more movies, you name it. This was a life saver, since we ended up being on the plane and extra 4.5 hours! It was a wonderful flight. we flew really low over the North Pole and I got some great shots out the window. very cool.
