Jimmy and I were sitting here tonight watching Amelia play, and talking about the fact that she is 13 months old today.
Then he said "I wonder what we were doing on the day she was born?" So we looked back to see if there was a blog entry on that date---August 26, 2005. and here's what I found:
On the day Amelia was born, I posted that we received an e-mail from CCAI, stating that our Dossier had been mailed to China.
....and it was followed by this poem ;)
KISSES IN THE WIND
I hold you in my heart and touch you in my dreams.
You are here each day with me, at least that's how it seems.
I know you wonder where we are....whats taking us so long.
But remember child, I love you, and God will keep you strong.
Now go outside and feel the breeze and let it touch your skin....
Because tonight, just as always, I blow you kisses in the wind.
May God hold you in his hands until I can be with you
I promise you, my baby, I'm doing all that I can do.
Very soon, you'll have a family for real, not just pretend
But for tonight as always, I blow you kisses on the wind.
My God wrap you in his arms and hold you very tight.
And let the angels bring the kisses that I send to you each night.

How sweet! I so look forward to knowing the day my girl was born. I have a feeling it's been very recently.
I just love that poem. How wonderful to have a record of what you were doing on Amelia's birthdate.
