Christmas Eve 2007

Christmas Eve.....Eve

Watching Elmo's Christmas--totally enthralled with both Elmo and Christmas. Put them together and she's in toddler heaven

Santa in his workshop

I have a photo of my father, shirtless and grinning, putting together a dollhouse in the middle of a Christmas Eve night. It is absolutely one of my favorite pictures, because my parents knew how to do Christmas :) and of course, because I miss my dad so much.
How cool to see my sweet husband putting together Amelia's christmas toys.
Stage 1: approaching the task with enthusiasm and a good dose of Christmas spirit!
Stage 2: plugging away with frustration and a somewhat lesser does of Christmas spirit :)

Stage 3: Completely worn out and asking: "could we have paid them to assemble this????" :)

Merry Christmas to friends near and far

Thanks to God for the blessings of friends--those at our annual holiday party...
and to those who were not. We are blessed with friends
Thanks to God for family near and far. We are blessed with the gift of family

Thanks to God for our most precious earthly gift.....our daughter, whose love and laughter lights our lives.

Thanks to God for families built both in hospitals and government offices!

Thanksgiving weekend

We spent Thanksgiving weekend in Maggie Valley NC-- Our log cabin was perched on top of a very tall mountain, and driving up and down was an adventure---especially at night! We went with my mom, Jimmy's mom and dad, and my brother and nephew. We ate, watched movies, looked around, and of course, played with Amelia! strangely, an amusement park named "Santa Land" was closed......during the holiday season. this I dont understand. who wants to see Santa in the summer???? We watched alot of football! Amelia can say "Roll Tide Roll! adorable!. Hubby insists she wear her Alabama cheerleader outfit on game days. how cute is that?
She also discovered that pot holders make lovely boots

Desperate for activites in light of the aforementioned attraction closing for the winter, we found a car she could ride till hearts content....wearing her feathers no doubt. she's a wild girl!

Happy Belated Thanksgiving
