The Ladies Who Lunch

The "Ladies who Lunch" as we jokingly call ourselves, have been through alot in the past year. We met in the very beginnings of our adoption process, thanks to Lisa S, pictured above. It was Lisa who introduced most of us, and it was Lisa who had the final Referral Celebration Lunch. The best for last, right Lisa?

These girls have shared the ups and downs of adoption, the decisions, the surprises, and the days and days of waiting. They understood what nobody else could, and they have colored my adoption experience with a unique comraderie! I love you guys! I love your girls! and I hope our daughters grow up together, and one day have their own "ladies lunch".

Congratulations Lisa and Eammon. Maisie is the missing piece of our puzzle, and we are all so happy she's finally almost here :)

Zoo Day--Nat'l Adoption Month

November is National Adotion Month!

Adoption Day Festivities at

the Atlanta Zoo

We enjoyed a very brrrrrrr cold day at the zoo with Adoptive families from all over Georgia.

Our crew enjoyed hanging out together, and meeting other Georgia Bloggers. I was especially glad to meet a couple of the other waiting children adopted around the same time as Amelia. Its so cool to get to "know" people on line and then bump into them at an adoption event!
