Oh, The Places You'll Go

I dont know why I am just now developing the camera that I sent in Amelia's Care package. Maybe I was too enamored of her here in my world, to risk confronting images of her far away and without my protection; or maybe I've been busy. maybe both. But I was pleasantly surprised to see these photos. Of course, I knew that Lianjiang was a very good orphanage. Amelia was well nourished and in really good physical and emotional shape. But there's a nanny in these pictures, who rests her cheek on Amelia's head just so; just the way I do it. She has a look in her eyes; a tilt of her head; her cheek just grazing Amelias soft hair. It makes me think that she loved my little girl, and that brings me so much peace. I think these are great pictures and I treasure them. My how she's grown! Lianjiang parents, feel free to copy the facility pictures for your lifebook if you wish. And if you have any other good ones of the town or institute you'd like to share with me, I'll take them!

Christmas Eve 2006

Say What??? Santa........Coming to see ME????????

How many smiles can you smile in a day? an hour? a minute? Adopt a child; and you'll find out

Christmas Day 2006

The Christmas I have dreamed of for so long, finally came. Our first Christmas as MOMMY AND DADDY! and it was wonderful....and we had to pinch ourselves to believe this beautiful, sweet, funny, precocious, amazing child shares our home, our name, and possesses the WHOLE OR OUR HEARTS.
You may notice that she has a horrendous booboo on her cheek. yep, happened the week before Christmas. Thankfully, it looks worse than it was, because she didnt miss a beat--it didnt seem to hurt much at all. We are putting up our pictures anyway! because it was our very first Christmas together! and..........our mommy and daddy eyes think she's stunning, booboo and all :)
