Sleeping beauty


She came to us in good shape. she was clean and wearing the outfit we sent in the care package. They also gave us a bag of formula, a photo album they took of her and the other little girl in our travel group, our disposable camera with pictures they took.

she has a heat rash on the back of her head and a knot thats red and something like a boil? we're putting triple antibiotic cream and its already much better.

she's very congested, but not running a fever, so we're using little noses saline drops and debating if we need to use the amoxicillan be brought. I'm going to ask our guide Kathy, what she thinks about that. If Amelia was running a fever, I know i would give it to her. There's also a medical clinic here in the hotel if needed.

She's a very happy baby, and loves to snuggle. she also loves it when we rub lotion on her. she just giggles and coos and loves the skin to skin contact---all good signs for attachment! we are very pleased with her adjustment so far. her skin is a little dry so we're using aveeno baby lotion liberally.

The only time she cries unconsolably is when her gums hurt. you can tell because she puts her fingers in the side where the teeth are coming in and just chomps and cries with big ol tears rolling down her cheeks. May I just say ..........Thank God for baby motrin.

she's napping right now and Jimmy is in the hotel gym. Sonia and Hugh are at breakfast with baby Kailee and we'll all meet up later to go to the hotel playroom and maybe walk around town a little.
