hey, hey, hey! we have PA!

. Wow! we got a call yesterday from CCAI saying that China sent PA (pre-approval) for us to definately adopt little Lian Xin Chu. I have listened to that message 5 times, at least. Its not that I was worried about whether or not they would approve us for her, I mean after all, we were logged in back in september and our file has already moved through the review room, but still............ we both felt relieved to have that official step in the waiting child program out of the way. Because now, we just wait on Travel Packets! and that is very exciting! the other thing that is exciting is that PA usually takes 3 or 4 weeks, and we got ours in 6 DAYS. Now, dont think we're delusional and think the CCAA has some special affinity for us. They have put some new waiting child procedures in place, and things are moving along much more efficiently in that program (now if we can just get that to happen in the nsn program!) Travel approval has taken 90 to 100 days at times, and now, people are getting them in fewer than 60 days, which means parents get to get those babies home that much sooner. and believe me......once you have that little face etched in the backs of your eyelids, you will be a woman possessed, and everything else in your life will take a backseat to getting on that big bird and getting that baby!
