Waiting Children

There is so much in the world for us all, if we only have the eyes to see it, and the heart to love it, and the hand to gather it to ourselves. ~ L.M. Montgomery
Have you considered a waiting child? There are hundreds of thousands of babies and children in Chinese orphanages with relatively minor and/or correctible special needs. Some of these things would not even be considered a special need in this country.
Adoption is always a leap of faith, as is giving birth. If you have good health insurance, and a curiosity about the waiting child option, why not check it out?

Yep, we've considered it and have been on CCAI's Waiting Child list for about a month now!

Congratulations again on your lovely daughter!

We considered it too! There really is no such thing as a "perfect" child and our 2nd daughter's SN is so minor that we really can't believe they actually consider it a SN!

She beautiful and we don't even think about her as being different in any way. Also, we'll have her home more than a year faster than we would if we pursued a 2nd adoption through the regular program.
